Ali Falahi, president and owner of Sun Valley Landscape, Inc. received his PhD in plant nutrition and organic wastes utilization for production of horticultural crops from University of Maryland in 1983. He received his MS degree in plant science from Texas A&I University in 1978 with minor in landscape horticulture and statistics. he received his BS degree in Horticulture in 1974 from Pahlavi University in Shiraz. Upon graduation from university of Maryland, He accepted a Two year Post doctoral research position in Post harvest physiology and Food Processing Department of Horticulture at University of Maryland. In 1986 he moved to San Diego with his family and started to teach Botany and landscape construction in Mesa College and working with a local landscape company before establishing Sun Valley Landscape.
